Daily Casual Game Roundup 15

After my long list of top HTML5 games available today, I kinda lost appetite of casual games. (Opps.) So I get played some core games: Diablo 3 and World of Tanks. I’m now a Level 30 Monk and commandeering an M18 tank in WoT.  Tired of core games, I’m back to casual games.

Today, I found some really cool casual games featured on my favorite websites. Here they are!

1.  Infiltrator

Infiltrator is a retro-looking shooter game. The back story: Your McGuffin, some kind of object to hold the story together,  has been stolen by robots. Intelligence reports suggest that it’s hidden in a secured base. Your mission is to retrieve the McGuffin…at all costs.

2. Medieval Shark

Destroy! Destroy! Destroy! 500 years before the infamous Miami Shark was born, lived the dreaded Medieval Shark…

Judgement day is upon us, as the prophecy foretold. The master of death has come to claim the world. But only a child fears dragons, a real threat emerges from the depths. Only he, a man, a shark, a sharkman can save us. Is he our savior or are we just dinner? A jaw of 1000 teeth in King Arthur’s court will determine our fate. Castles will be destroyed, lives will be forfeit, death has met his match. Long live the king.

3. Flightless

This is an upcoming Nitrome game and is only a demo. If you’ve read my posts before, you should know how I love Nitrome games.

After a couple of minutes playing Flightless…I can’t wait for it!

4. Submachine 8

Submachine 8 is a little weird game. It’s not the usual puzzle game you’ll find on the net. Honestly speaking, it took me a couple of minutes before I understand the mechanics. Try it now!

5. Netbots

Netbots is a fun puzzle game. The challenge is to connect netbots together according to the required configuration displayed your dashboard. It’s one cute game.

Samurai & Ninja Games

I heard that the live action adaptation of Rurouni Kenshin (watch trailer here) will premiere on October 17, 2012.  That’s an awesome news to an anime & manga fan like me. Some of my favorite samurai and/or ninja movies are Sword of Doom, Seven Samurai, Kazumi, The Twilight Samurai and Basilisk.

By now, you must have a clear idea of what I’m going for here…a list of some of samurai and ninja games that I just played. It’s more of a roundup but more specific.

Some of free online ninja samurai games (click this) aren’t really that good. So I have to scour gaming websites to find the coolest. It was fun!

Let’s get started.

1. Straw Hat Samurai and  Straw Hast Samurai 2 is an action-adventure flash game. Your goal is to slash your way across hundreds of enemies.

3. Ninja Painter 2 - This is more of an action puzzle game than a fighting one. Your task is to paint the temple with the right colors.

4. Life or Death - I love playing this game because of the cool moves that your character does when he tries to deflect the bullets. Yes, a samurai deflecting bullets!

5. Ninja Mushroom - Another puzzle game that I’m sure you’ll enjoy. You control a cute ninja mushroom who has to find his way out of the forest.

6. Final Ninja - I mentioned before how I love Nitrome games. This one is an adventure slinger game.

Daily Casual Game Roundup 14

Time for another round of games!

1. Somewhere in England 1928

This game is the offspring of detective-point&click and 8-bit graphics…and just like its parents are, it’s awesome! I don’t want to spoil the game so go ahead and kill those monsters….opps.

2. Toss the Turtle

It’s easy to figure out the whole point of the game with just the title and the picture. This is one bloody game. Launch the turtle as far as you can! There are boosters along the way; if you’re lucky, you’ll bump into them and increase the distance covered.

3. Stunt Rider

While the gameplay and graphics of this game aren’t memorable, it wins on the back-story. You play as a retired bike rider. A newbie thinks he’s better than you. Get on your bike and show that you’re the best stunt rider to ever walk on Earth.

4. Psyline

Psyline is a unique puzzle game. Your goal is to transport the orb to the game. The orb is attracted to the a path called “psyline”. Draw this line across the maze to transport the orb.

Daily Casual Game Roundup 13

It’s Friday and I’m happy that new seasons of my favorite sitcoms just premiered. I did mention that I love watching sitcoms last time, right?

Wait. I sounded like I’m not that excited with the fact that it’s FRIDAY! Woohoo!

So here’s some awesome games that you NEED to play to get to that weekend vibe.

1. Almost Impossible

A minimalist puzzle game that will test your dexterity with the mouse.

This is a really exciting game…I had to stomp my feet on the dash back to the check point. It was that exciting!

2. Earn to Die

Drive your car and crush every zombie that crosses your path.

3. Hue Brix

Fill the puzzle grid with color by dragging the colored boxes across the area. Each box has a specific number of grids that it can fill.

4. Jacksmith

Play as a donkey blacksmith and craft the best weapons for your warriors. Design the weapons like the sword, bow and axe and equip the soldiers that will clear the monsters of your path.

Daily Casual Game Roundup 12

Before I start with the daily round-up, I want to introduce two new game aggregation websites that caught my attention today.

  • The Casual Guy - It’s a really new site that I found to be interesting because of the layout. I’m still waiting how it will pan out. The creator promises to post only the best flash & HTML5 games. Not bad.
  • Batman Games Only - As the name of the site suggests, all the games are about Batman. There’s Batman vs Superman, RPGst’s, puzzles and many more.

1. Snake Squad

Form the best squad of soldiers and survive the battlefield for as long as you can! Prepare for bloodbath!

2. Crimson and Stache

This is a really funny game. I wouldn’t want to spoil it by giving you all the details. Let me just say….Let your mustache do the talking!

3. Infectonator 2

Oh. Another zombie apocalypse game…and I’m loving it! Infect and turn as many people as you can into zombies…Rule the world!

4. Bloom Defender

Protect the mother tree against elemental spirits. Plant defensive trees along the path.

5. Twelve O

You might find this game weird. Your goal is really simple – set the interconnected clock’s time to 12:00.

Daily Casual Game Roundup 11

It’s Friday and I’m a little lazy.

Before we proceed.  The spring season is here and with it are new episodes of my favorite television shows (sitcoms). Community. Modern Family. The Office. The Big Bang Theory. New Girl. The Walking Dead. Raising Hope. Scrubs…Ouch. Scratch that…I just miss Scrubs.

Anyhow, here’s another round some of the coolest games I found today. There are only three but they’re among the top shooting games.

1. Fairytale Annihilation

fairytale

Your helicopter crashed into the land of the Fairy Tale. The fairy creatures want you to become of them. Of course, you don’t want to. Otherwise, the game will not make sense. Thus, ensues fairy ass-kicking!

The game is a little buggy but you’ll definitely enjoy it. I reached level 24 and just 8% on the helicopter repair.

2. DeadZed

DeadZed flash game

This is a zombie apocalypse first person shooting game. Oh. The Walking Dead! If you played some casual fps before, I’m sure you know how this goes. Waves of zombies. Gun upgrades.

What I love in this game is the good sound of the rifle and the smooth animation.

3. Insectonator: Zombie Mode

I’ve played FlyAnvil’s Insectonator before. That game is all about shooting insects of different species. Insectonator: Zombie Mode offers the same quality squashing. Instead of insects, however, you get to smash and squash zombies! (Opps. The game’s name may have already given that up.) This is an awesome stress-relieving game.

Gotta go back playing.

Happy weekend!

Daily Casual Game Roundup 10

Woah! I can’t believe that I’m on my 10th game round-up now. Before we proceed, here’s a recap of all the roundups I posted since the inception of this blog:

  1. Roundup 1 : Bartender the Right Mix, Upgrade Complete and Indi Cannon
  2. Roundup 2: Samurai Fruit, Rat Fishing, Pirates of the Stupid Seas, and zOMGies 2
  3. Roundup 3: 8-ball Pool Multiplayer, Ninja Warz, Monkey Quest, UMAG2, and Goodgame Studios games
  4. Roundup 4: Elemental Balance, B.C. Bow Contest, Kit & The Octopod, and iCycle
  5. Roundup 5: Monster Must Die, Bears Love Cakes, The Silk Road, Among the Clouds, and Friends
  6. Roundup 6: Alien Thief, Obama Alien Defense, Orbita, and Alienocalypse
  7. Roundup 7: Bloons TD 5, Super Ubi Land, Zomboz 2, and Hambo
  8. Roundup 8: Swap it Et, Temple Glider, Zombocalypse, Drift Runners 3D, and Double Edged
  9. Roundup 9: The Last Stand: Dead Zone, Decision, Knightmare Tower, Zombie Home Run 2, and Expendables 2 TD

Whew! And without further ado…today’s casual game roundup. Below are really awesome games that every casual gamer should have, at least, played once.

1. Super Adventure Pals

Super Adventure Pals

This is an action-packed rpg adventure game. Do you see that little rock drinking tea? That’s suppose to be your pet. One day the evil Mr. B kidnapped him. You love the rock so much that you will fight hundreds of monsters and risk your life just to rescue him.

2. Civilization Wars

I’m not sure which of the two came first, Civilization Wars or Civilization Wars: Ice Legend. Both are awesome games that will test your strategy/planning skills.

3. Calamari

Calamari flash game

I think I’m really hooked to Nitrome games. It’s probably the pixel-art that comes with their games or, probably, the slight complexity of the games that make them all addictive. I love this game but Skywire 2 is still my favorite.

4. Warfare 1944

It’s one of the few games that lets you choose whether to play as a G.I. or a Nazi commander. I, personally, like the complexity (although not as complex as core games) that it offers. You can now flank enemy soldiers, ask for air and artillery supports and more.

Play them all now!

Daily Casual Game Roundup 9

Every weekday, specifically during office hours, should be declared a gaming day!

Time for another game round-up. For today, I wanted to focus on zombie games but I strayed a little bit and ended up playing other games. So here’s another mix of cool and fun casual games.

1. The Last Stand: Dead Zone

Deadzone is the 4th, and more complex, installment of the popular The Last Stand series.

I just started playing the game 30 minutes ago and I’m just waiting ’til my survivors come back from a mission. It has more of a management feel to it than the usual Last Stand shoot-it-out/survival awesomeness.

2. Decision

This is the game that preceded Decision 2: New City. If you’ve already played Decision 2, you will find Decision a little lacking. But if you just want to shoot and shoot some more zombies, you’ll enjoy this one.

3. Knigtmare Tower

I’m not quite sure what to make of this game but it’s fun!

You’re a gallant knight who were asked to save 10 princesses from the bad guy. You have to climb up the tower by launching yourself using a wooden rocket. To keep your ascent, you also have slice monsters! Hahaha. And the lava is also after you.

4. Zombie Home Run 2

This is a slugfest! I’m not really sure if that’s the right word for it…but it sure is fun.

The game’s view is just like that of Amorphous+ but the gameplay is similar to Plants vs Zombies. Your goal is to make sure that zombies don’t go pass your line. Beat them all to death with your baseball bat!

5. Expendables 2: TD

This is an action-packed TD/Advertising game for the movie of the same title. Your goal is to keep enemy soldiers from invading your base.

Daily Casual Game Roundup 8

I know it’s cliche but f*ck it. TGIF! Wheewww!

Now it’s time to take a good look at the best casual games that I played this week. As with the last roundup, the games have no similarities other than the fact that I enjoyed playing them.

Let’s get started!

1. Swap It Et

Swap It Et is a picture/logic puzzle. Sorry. I don’t know the exact type of puzzle to classify it.

You are presented with a group of moving gears divided into several tiles, which are jumbled together. Your goal is to arrange these tiles to re-create the working gear.

2. Temple Glider

I played this yesterday and it’s probably one of my favorite Nitrome games (a couple of notch under Skywire).

In Temple Glider, you control a purple mummy bird. It’s a really simple game where you have to go from Point A to Point B to finish the level. It’s the engaging environment that I love. After all, who can resist playing as a mummy bird?

3.  Zombocalypse

The zombie apocalypse is upon us. You’re an operator who has to survive hordes upon hordes of zombies! Your demise is inevitable. The real question is how long can you survive these undead attacks?

Take your chance and play this top-notch survival game!

4. Drift Runners 3D

I seldom include racing games in my roundups for many reasons, one of which is that I’m not really into racing games. Drift Runners 3D stands out.

5. Double Edged

Another action-packed Nitrome game. Double Edged is a beat ‘em up game that lets you control a lone Roman Legionare-looking warrior on an quest to destroy his enemies!

I hope you all have a great weekend!
